Tip 6

Having NoFrame enabled, you may find it difficult to place the mouse cursor exactly over the 1px frame line. Keep trying! 😉

Tip 7

After entering values in edit boxes, always use the ENTER key, not the TAB key, to confirm your input.

Tip 11

To change the color of an item, first select the item from the drop-down list. The name of the item will then appear on the display. Now you can select the color either by dragging the RGB thumbs (1.) or by entering RGB/HEX values in the edit boxes (2.) or simply by selecting the color from the Primary Colors table (3.). Finish the action by pressing the APPLY NEW COLOR button.

Please remember to export the default Color Theme before importing a new one - you may want to revert to the default scheme one day. You can also click on "?" for more information on how to export/import a Color Theme.

Tip 14

Unlike many modern media players, Winamp is not able to display album covers during an online stream. Unless you are using Winamp's 5.666 Build 3516 version, have the Album Cover Flow window enabled and are listening to Radio Paradise. Give it a try! 😉

Tip 16

You can reduce the size of the Media Library window to a pseudo-windowshade-mode, which allows you to keep the window extremely small and handy.

Tip 17

Lists in Playlist Editor and Media Library window share the same background and text color IDs as edit boxes. They look exactly the same.

Tip 18

CUE PLAYER (Experimental)

This is how the CUE file should look like:

PERFORMER "Armin van Buuren"
TITLE "A State Of Trance"
FILE "Armin van Buuren - A State Of Trance 1234.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
PERFORMER "A State Of Trance"
TITLE "Intro"
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
...

Important: Rename the file extension .cue to .m3u8 so that Winamp can read its contents!

- It is OK if there are REM lines at the top of the CUE file.
- The music file in the CUE file must have the same name as your local file.
- Move the vertical divider to the left to make the cuelist visible.
- Play a track by double-clicking on an item in the cuelist.
- Stop the playback before loading a CUE file.

That's it!

Please remember that our cuelist is a virtually list whose contents will vanish as soon as we close Playlist Editor window. Neither Winamp, nor the skin will save its contents.

P.S. If you open Playlist Editor and the playlist area is hidden, as shown in the screenshot below, because you have moved the divider all the way to the left, the PE Info will not be visible in the top right-hand display. You need to move the divider to the right to make the playlist visible and make the time appear on the display. Afterwards, you can move the divider back to the left border if you wish. It seems that there is a connection between the PE Info being shown and the playlist area being visible.

Tip 19

Keyboard shortcuts for the Playlist Editor, Media Library and Video window. Please note that these shortcuts will not work on the Visualizations/Milkdrop window, as these are third-party plug-ins embedded within Winamp. For this particular window, use the OPTIONS button instead.
