Quinto Black CT v4.6 (2025-08-09)
- added: Beat Visualization for the Main Player. You can activate this feature via Configuration > Main Player. (See Tip 9)
- added: "Winamp" as label for the Main Player. Please bear in mind that 'Winamp' is a shorter word than 'Quinto Black CT', so you will not be able to move it to the far left or right on the frame as you can do with the skin's name.
- added: Language ID/Application Path/CD Ripping Path and Settings Path to Configuration > Winamp Info.
- added: "Fullscreen" option to Album Cover Flow window. Close all components, also the Main Player (Alt + W), choose "Fullscreen" and enjoy! Please remember to keep the size of the album cover as small as possible. By size, I mean KB/MB size, not dimensions. The larger the file (for example, 4 MB), the more difficult it will be for the CPU to process. And Notifications are automatically disabled while in fullscreen mode.
- added: "Show Release Year" option to Album Cover Flow window.
- added: Progress Bar to Album Cover Flow. The color is always the same as the color of the progress bar on the Main Player.
- changed: "Album Cover Flow Background" to "Album Cover Flow Wallpaper" which seems to be the proper name for this purpose.
- improved: Compact Cassette.
- improved: VU Meter on Main Player (bigger LEDs).
- improved: Artist and Title text lines on Album Cover Flow window. These text lines automatically increase in size when the window is resized. Please report any 'visual glitches' if you have a display/monitor with a slightly 'unorthodox' resolution and the text lines do not fit.
- removed: "Show Track Duration" option from the Album Cover Flow because, in some cases, it displayed empty space or incorrect/corrupt values.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Many of you will probably already have discovered an issue with the Album Cover Flow feature when selecting a wallpaper or changing the background. The issue is that, after restarting Winamp, the Album Cover window reverts to its default position and dimensions, as if Winamp does not remember these values. This behaviour may be due to the fact that, when a new wallpaper is applied, the dimensions of the entire window change (you can see it in the studio.xnf file). This causes Winamp to handle the window as if it had never been activated before, hence showing it at its default x- and y-coordinates and width and height.
To avoid this issue, you MUST always follow this pattern:
1. Start Winamp.
2. Open Album Cover Flow window.
2. Resize the window to its default dimension (just drag the right edge to the left and the bottom one to the top).
3. Select a wallpaper and hit "Apply New Wallpaper" or change the background to "Gradient" or choose "Hide background".
4. Do not touch anything else and close Winamp!
5. Restart Winamp.
6. Now you can move and resize the window according to your liking. From now on the position and dimension will be saved.
